Once you begin your application, you will not be able to save this form and return to complete it later; this being the case, please allow at least 1-2 hours to complete the form. Please note that there is no advantage for applicants who submit their applications early in the registration window; we thus strongly advise you to take your time and fill in the form carefully, especially the personal statements. Please note that we will not consider incomplete applications.
Applications for 2026 will open on 1st August 2025 and close at 5pm BST on 15th September 2025. Applications received after September 15th at 5pm BST will not be accepted.

Eligibility Check
Your application will only be processed for The Phoenix Fellowship if you meet the following sets of criteria:
- You currently live in the UK.
- You are a refugee (or the dependent of a refugee) who has been granted indefinite Leave to Remain, OR you are an asylum seeker who is awaiting a decision or appealing a decision for asylum from the UK Home Office, OR you are a person (or dependent of a person) who has claimed asylum in the UK and has been granted Limited Leave to Remain, OR you hold some other form of temporary status such as Calais Leave, Discretionary Leave to Remain, Section 67 leave, or UASC leave.
- You have been accepted onto at least one doctorate or graduate course at a UK university.
You are pursuing EITHER a full-time professional degree in Medicine, Dentistry, or Veterinary Medicine, OR a full-time graduate degree in one of the following scientific disciplines: Biomedical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, or Psychology.
